The town of Cheltenham is well known for all its festivals.  There is a wonderful list of major events.

Prestbury Parish Council are organising the first village festival at Prestbury Playing Fields, New Barn Close on Saturday, 9 July 2022.

Funding for the festival is from Build Back Better, which is part of a government initiative in conjunction with Gloucestershire County Council for local businesses and the community to engage and work together.

The festival will be organised by Prestbury Parish Councillors and community volunteers. The event will include stalls from local businesses and members of the community, with lots of fun and games for all the family which include a dog show, the Music Man, puppet show, go karts, bouncy castles and more. The showcase for the event will be Prestbury’s Got Talent Grand Final. Through local schools, who organised auditions for the children, the finalists will perform on stage in the marquee at the grand final!

In addition to the entertainment, there will be facilities for tea, coffee, soft drinks, food and a licensed bar. The Scouts are organising a BBQ, and there will be areas where families can have a picnic.

There will be a raffle, with prizes donated by businesses across Cheltenham. The funds from the raffle will contribute to developing the sports facilities and the pavilion at the playing fields, for everyone to use.

The festival will open at 12noon with stalls closing at 5pm. At 7pm the Mark Walby Band will be playing music until 9pm. It is free entry throughout the day.  Why not join the community and have some fun?

Finally, the festival would not be possible without the support of Gloucestershire County Council, and the many months of hard work and planning by community volunteers and Prestbury Parish Councillors

At the moment we are asking vendors who would like to have a stall or pitch to register their interest
