Litter Pick Milestone – 50 volunteers

“Making a difference” is easy to say, but over 50 registered volunteers of all ages have signed up for the monthly litter pick organised by Prestbury Parish Council and are Making a Difference – Thank You

The results of their efforts can be seen throughout the parish. Through their desire to see the parish roads and pavements litter free, the volunteers demonstrate their commitment on the last Saturday of the month for a couple of hours between 1000-1200hrs.

With the support of the Parish Council, the Jockey Club who sponsor the Hi-Vis vests, Webbs Garden Centre with the tools required and the Green Space Team with waste bags and gloves, the volunteers are kitted out to collect the litter within the parish boundary. The difference is there to be seen and although the cleanliness and the ambiance of the parish can be for just a short time, it does not deter the volunteers in the pursuit of “Caring for our Community”, the wording on the back of the vests.
