Prestbury Parish Council Goes Green!
For many years the PPC has erected a cut Christmas tree in the grounds of the library and decorated it with lights for the enjoyment of local residents.
This year PPC decided to procure a living tree for planting in front of the library. The cost of procurement has been kindly met by a local resident who wishes to remain anonymous.
The library garden volunteers kindly dug the pit for the tree and planted it just in time for the Coronation, so it has been adorned with bunting in celebration as shown in the photo below.
A cut tree will be erected for a couple more years to run in tandem with the living tree until it reaches the same hight and stature as the cut tree.
Please come and view the tree during the Coronation Celebration weekend.
