Gloucestershire County Council Notice
We will shortly be undertaking embankment stabilisation works on a section of the A435 Evesham Road near Cheltenham Racecourse to repair and support the highway.
The proposed works are due to take place from early November for approximately 14 weeks, during which time a single lane closure will be in place. Access will be maintained for landowners to the adjacent fields within the worksarea and one lane will remain open to allow continued traffic flow. Delays could be expected during this time so please plan your journey ahead. We will be writing to residents shortly in conjunction with installing information boards located on the site.
We ask for your cooperation and understanding during this time and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Please note that section 2.1 of the cycleway scheme is due to commence in January 2025. Please refer to the website A435 Improvement Schemes | Highways (gloucestershire.gov.uk) for information on both schemes.
