Job Vacancy – Administration Officer at Prestbury Parish Council

The Administration Officer is a part-time role, of 10-15 hours per week, reporting to the Parish Clerk. Hours negotiable, Friday afternoon working preferable.

Role:

  • Management of Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), tennis and football facilities, to include booking, arranging for court/pitch maintenance/cleaning, and general issues.
  • Management of parish hall bookings.
  • Lead officer for recycling issues.
  • If suitably skilled, monitoring and updating the Parish Council website and supporting the social media developments as a key aspect of PPC media and communications requirements.
  • Other general duties as required, such as dealing with enquiries, action tracking, attending committee meetings, minute taking and assisting in financial matters.

The most suitable candidate will be computer literate, and ideally have website content updating experience.

The successful applicant will be expected to work occasional evenings to cover meetings and have a degree of flexibility to cover sickness and holidays.

The salary band for a fulltime role is between £22,737 – £23,893 pa (for 37 hours per week) and the Local Government Pension Scheme is available. In addition, there are 20 days annual leave per year, plus bank holidays (pro-rata).
